Washington State University is here to listen, support, and help you find the resources that feel right for you. If you feel unsafe right now, there are steps the university can take to help protect you. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Changing your room or dorm,
- Adjusting class schedules,
- Helping you withdraw from classes without penalty,
- Issuing no‑contact agreements,
- Setting temporary trespass orders, and/or
- Connecting you with on or off campus safety resources.

Victim Advocates
If you experienced a crime, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking or other sexual violence, you can speak with a trained community-based victim advocate who can:
- Listen without judgment,
- Explain your options,
- Help with safety planning,
- Support you through medical, legal, or reporting processes, and
- Connect you with emergency housing in the area, where appropriate.

Confidential Resources at WSU
- Find confidential resources specific to your campus and community. These include medical providers, mental health counselors, and legal support both on and off campus specific to where you live.
- Office of the University Ombuds: A private, neutral place to talk through concerns and understand your options. They won’t take sides and can help you explore solutions confidentially.
