There are several options for reporting accessibility concerns, depending on the specific need.
Digital Accessibility
In accordance with UPPM 10.45 (formerly Executive Policy 7 and BPPM 85.55), WSU is committed to providing equal access to electronic and information technology for all students, staff, faculty, and others with disabilities. If you experience a barrier that affects your ability to access a WSU website, online form, online software, video or other information technology, you can report that to WSU (see below sections). Please note, in some circumstances, resolving a digital accessibility issue may take time. Students and employees are encouraged to also connect with their disability service provider to request a reasonable accommodation or other support services while the accessibility issue is being resolved.
If you are having trouble accessing a website, software, or other digital content, Report a Digital Accessibility Issue.
Report a Physical Accessibility Issue
Physical barriers to access may include things like non-working elevators, damaged or need for a curb cut, accessible restroom issues, or non-functioning door openers. Please note, in some circumstances, resolving a physical accessibility issue may take time. Students and employees are encouraged to also connect with their disability service provider to request a reasonable accommodation or other support services while the accessibility issue is being resolved. Physical access issues can be reported through the Physical Accessibility Barrier form, which will go to your campus’s facilities representative.
Report Discrimination and Harassment
Discrimination and harassment based on a disability or exercise of rights to reasonable accommodations, protected medical leave, or service animals or emotional support animals can be directed to Compliance and Civil Rights. File a Report or Complaint online or request an intake consultation from ccr@wsu.edu or 509-335-8288 to learn more about your options.
Report a Concern about Student Accommodations and Disability Resources/Access Services
Students registered with Student Accommodations and Disability Resources or Access Services who believe they have been negatively impacted by that office’s staff, policies, or procedures, or who believe that an assigned accommodation is not being appropriately provided, can connect with their advisor, the department’s formal grievance process, or file a report of discrimination with Compliance and Civil Rights. For more information on these options, visit Student Accommodation Grievances.
