We are here to help you. Whether you reported your own concerns, reported on behalf of someone else, or someone reported a concern about you, Compliance and Civil Rights (CCR) is a resource for you. This website describes the next steps in our process and provides you with valuable information on resources, reporting options, and university policies.
For immediate safety concerns, please call 911; CCR is also available to discuss available safety related supportive measures, as needed.
Compliance and Civil Rights (CCR) is available to meet with you to discuss your concerns and provide resources and support options. Here are some things to know:
- CCR can meet via phone, Zoom, or in person (in person meetings are available on the Pullman campus).
- You are welcome to have an advisor and/or support person present at any meeting with our office.
- CCR can arrange for translation services or any reasonable disability accommodations that may be helpful to you.
- You can share as much or as little information with CCR as you are comfortable with. Our goal is to ensure you have access to information about reporting, resources, and available grievance procedures.
- If you would prefer to speak anonymously, you can call 509-335-8288 without providing your name. Just let us know you’d like to discuss something anonymously. Alternatively, you can visit our office at French Administration Building 220 and ask to speak to someone anonymously.
- If you would prefer to speak with someone confidentially, you can contact a local advocate, the WSU Ombuds, or a healthcare professional (see Resources or Reporting Options).
- If you would like to file a formal complaint, you can do so online: Online reporting and complaint forms. If you would like to meet to discuss this option first, we are happy to answer any questions you may have during an intake consultation.
Other resources and information can be found on CCR’s website.
- Resources: Includes on-campus, community, employee, and self-help resources.
- Supportive Measures: Services and supports available to individuals which are available with or without filing a complaint. Your preferences with respect to supportive measures will be considered.
- WSU’s Policy Prohibiting Discrimination and Harassment: Describes prohibitions on discrimination, your rights to support and grievance procedures, and supportive measures available.
- CCR Procedural Guidelines: CCR’s guidelines for responding to allegations implicating EP-15.
If you received an outreach email from CCR, you can simply respond with your availability to schedule an intake consultation.
First, thank you for reporting and looking out for your fellow Cougs. Your report has been documented in the CCR database. If you provided the name of the person who experienced the misconduct on your report, we will send that person information on supportive measures, reporting options, and available resources, unless there were safety concerns identified about email communication.
For immediate safety concerns, please call 911: reviewing the safety related supportive measures available may also be helpful.
