The Washington State University Health Sciences Compliance division is housed under the office of Civil Rights Compliance and oversees the health science compliance efforts across the WSU system.
The mission of Health Sciences Compliance is to provide the University an independent assessment of departmental policies and procedures as well as implement systemwide policies and procedures that are affected by Federal and State laws and regulations regarding health and medical practices and information. Our objective is to assist the WSU community in the proper discharge of their responsibilities by providing analysis, guidance, and recommendations.
Some examples of what we do include but are not limited to:
- Departmental, unit and project audits
- Regulation reviews and education
- Leads internal control systems including effectiveness, efficiency and reliability and methods of maintaining compliance
- Risk Assessments and support
